How we handle information you share with us through this website.

Who we are
Sandalwood People & Structure is the HR consulting and organisational advisory practice of Sandalwood Consulting Limited, based in Lagos, Nigeria. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights set out below, contact us at info@sandalwoodpeople.com or 0707 209 6459.
What we collect
We only collect information you actively give us:
- Enquiry details — your name, organisation, job title, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, organisation size, industry, the service you are interested in, your message and your preferred contact method.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address, if you subscribe to Insights.
- HR Health Check results — only if you choose to send them with an enquiry. The assessment itself is scored in your browser; we do not receive your answers otherwise.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information about your employees through this website.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or service you asked for.
- To send you a resource you requested.
- To send Insights, if you subscribed. Every email includes an unsubscribe option.
- To keep records of our correspondence with clients and prospective clients.
We rely on your consent for marketing communications, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries for everything else.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We do not use your enquiry details to add you to a mailing list unless you asked us to.
- We do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this website.
Who else sees it
Your information is seen by the Sandalwood People & Structure team handling your enquiry. We use ordinary business service providers — email hosting and, where applicable, a form delivery service and a newsletter platform — which process the information on our behalf under their own terms. We disclose information to third parties otherwise only where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for our ordinary business records afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It may store a small amount of information in your own browser to remember your progress through the HR Health Check — that information stays on your device. See our Cookie Policy.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to info@sandalwoodpeople.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, so please do not send confidential employee records through the website enquiry form — we will agree a secure method with you if documents need to be shared.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
